Because of the size (my workshop is not overly large) and complexity of this project it is to be done in three parts. The first pieces made, delivered and installed are this pair of bookcases.
I reproduced the skirting board mouldings in order to continue this round the base of the units, and the crown mouldings are based on the cornicing in the room. The pilasters on the cupboard pick up the design of the fireplace surround pillars.
The painted parts are of beech, and the counter top is elm, finished in hardwax oil.
