This console table in oak was delivered to the Michaelhouse Centre in Cambridge.
I was asked why I chose a dowelled joints in the drawers, rather than dovetails. These joints use Miller dowels which are stepped and ridged, meaning that the joint is a lot stronger than plain dowels, and (at least) as strong as dovetails. The other great advantage over dovetails is that of cost. I also happen to think that they look good.
